SEPTEMBER ENTERTAINING
New England Chop Suey
1 1/2 Lbs Ground Beef 2 Tsp. Salt 1 Cabbage, Coarsely Chopped 1/2 Tsp. Pepper 3 Onions, Chopped 2 Tsp. Crushed Garlic 2 Bell Peppers, Chopped 2 Tsp. Worcestershire Sauce 3 Celery Stalks, Chopped 3 - 12oz. Cans Tomato Sauce 2 Cans Green Beans & Liquid 1 Can Tomato Soup * 1 Can Asparagus In Large Kettle--
- Brown Ground Beef
- Add remaining ingredients, except asparagus (save 'til later)
- Stir ingredients well
- Over low heat, bring to a simmer, stirring frequently
- Slow simmer at least 2 hours, or until cabbage is completely cooked;
Stir occasionally to prevent scorching- * Add asparagus
Serve Over White Rice
